BTCC Event 3 Brands Hatch
Uploaded on May 06, 2010 Aisling Ridout / Greenlight Television Footage Type: TV Programming Restrictions: Only authorised users may downloadMat Jackson has won today’s third Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch.
On a damp but drying track, Jackson took the gamble to fit wet weather tyres all round on his Airwaves BMW. He quickly took the lead and went on to win on his team’s home circuit but he was fortunate as in the closing laps one of his tyres developed a slow puncture.
And he only just held on for the win ahead of Honda Racing Team driver Matt Neal whose slick tyres enabled him to close to within half a second at the end. Neal had come through from 13th on the grid.
Third, forced to give up second to the flying Neal on the final lap, was Jackson’s team mate Steven Kane.
As a result, Neal has moved into the joint championship lead with Jason Plato who failed to finish the race after his Silverline Chevrolet Cruze broke down on the first lap. Kane is up to third with just 17 points covering the top six.

Uploaded on May 04, 2010 Viviana Dal Palù / Eurosport Footage Type: News Release Restrictions: NoneGabriele Tarquini and Andy Priaulx shared victories today in Marrakech, coming home safe after two races that were spoiled by a number of crashes and safety car periods.
In the first race the reigning world champion and his SEAT León TDI car took the lead at the start and benefitted from the fight for second to build a small gap that proved crucial the moment that the race was frozen by the safety car for good.
In race 2 Priaulx made the most out of his pole position on the reverse grid to take command. Two different crashes on laps 1 and 7 chaged the race into a procession behind the safety car until the very last lap in which Priaulx sprinted to BMW's first victory of the season beating Chevrolet's Yvan Muller by a small margin.

And then we have a selection of electric and hybrid solutions to consider - just imagine saying that as little as two years ago - but we'll start with the week's news headlines as usual.
