Relive one of the greatest 500cc World Championship showdowns of the 1980s for the very first time. Comprehensive, action-packed coverage brings you the full story of the dramatic Dutch Grand Prix from Assen on Saturday, June 29th, 1985.

World Champion Eddie Lawson was determined to cut the title lead of fellow American Freddie Spencer at the Dutch TT, but he would have to contend with driving rain and some very determined rivals. Spencer and Christian Sarron were out early, leaving the door open for Lawson to pursue and pass second-placed Ron Haslam. However, his bid to catch runaway leader Randy Mamola ended in disaster for the normally 'Steady Eddie'.

Superb camera angles, including superb on-board footage of the rain-lashed Assen circuit courtesy of Mamola, bring you all the action as one of the most dramatic GPs of the 1980s unfolds. There are also interviews with the stars, including Lawson, Spencer, Haslam and Mamola.

Also features highlights of the breathtaking 250cc race, as Toni Mang battles from 29th to first in treacherous conditions, only to find himself under intense pressure from rivals including Martin Wimmer, Carlos Lavado and Spencer during what proved a truly gripping contest.

This exceptional record also includes coverage of fast and furious Sidecar World Championship race, which saw the dominant Steve Webster and Tony Hewitt lose the lead in an horrific crash.

Relive one of the greatest 500cc World Championship showdowns of the 1980s for the very first time. Comprehensive, action-packed coverage brings you the full story of the drama-filled Belgian Grand Prix, held at the classic Spa-Francorchamps circuit on Sunday, July 3rd, 1988.

Christian Sarron was again in pole position, and with rain falling on the legendary Spa track the French wet weather expert looked set for success. However, it was reigning World Champion Wayne Gardner who leapt into first place, his Rothmans Honda leading title rival Eddie Lawson's Marlboro Yahama into the awesome Eau Rouge. Sarron fought back, forcing his way past Lawson and reeling in the hard-charging Gardner.

The leading pair embarked on an epic battle, wrestling with twitching 500cc machines on the wet circuit, heroically battling to control the sliding bikes. Superb camera angles bring you all the action as Gardner and Sarron trade blows in this enthralling race, and Cagiva hero Randy Mamola defies the critics to battle back from 22nd to the podium.

Interviews with the stars, including Gardner, Lawson, Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey and an emotional Mamola ensure this is the full story of an amazing Grand Prix.

Also includes highlights from the incredible 250cc race, where the awesome battle between Toni Mang, Sito Pons, Dominique Sarron and Juan Garriga was marred by terrifying crashes.

This action-packed review follows the 12,000km odyssey as 426 cars, motorcycles and trucks navigate eight countries in 20 drama-filled days. Among the challengers were the sportscar great Jochen Mass, driving veteran Vic Elford, the heroic Marreau brothers, Mitsubishi's Andrew Cowan, the Pacific Range Rover of Patrick Zaniroli and Ickx's own teammate Rene Metge. The bike section was also a star-studded affair, with BMW's challengers Hubert Auriol and Gaston Rahier dominating.

Stunning footage captures the spirit of adventure as the cars, bikes and trucks battle with the terrain, while interviews with the stars take you behind the scenes of the spirit-breaking Dakar Rally. The dominant Rothmans Porsche team would face challenges not only from the privateer Porsche teams like Joest, Kremer, Brun and Richard Lloyd Racing, but also works efforts from Jaguar and Lancia, plus the mighty Mercedes-engined Kouros. At the end of a roller coaster season, it seemed the works Porsche team had thrown everything away - but there would be a sting on the tail.

This review includes Jaguar's Silverstone win, the tragedy-hit Le Mans race, the controversial Brands Hatch round, the unbelievable scenes at the Nurburgring, the epic last lap dice at Spa - one of the closest finishes ever - and the contentious season finale in Japan.

World Rally 2008 Review

World Rally 2008 Review

Uploaded on Feb 09, 2009 Adam Duke / Duke Videos Footage Type: Consumer or DVD Restrictions: Only authorised users may download

"This DVD demonstrates why it remains a great sport........the North One footage is exceptional and comes from all angles" Autosport

The Official Review of the 2008 FIA World Rally Championship brings you action and drama from all 15 rounds of what proved to be a truly record-breaking season, packed with thrills, spills and spectacular skills.

Citroen superstar Sebastien Loeb not only claimed a record-breaking fifth World Rally Championship title, he also re-wrote the record book along way, including becoming the first driver in WRC history to win 11 events in one season, win the same event seven times in a row, the first to win the Monte-Carlo rally five times and in Argentina four times.

He dominated the 2008 season, proving his skills in all conditions and on every terrain.

Loeb wasn't the only record-breaker. Title rival Mikko Hirvonen, who headed the championship battle early in the season, became the first driver to score points in every single round. Ford teammate Jari-Matti Latvala also claimed his place in history when he became the youngest person ever to win a WRC event.

The best camera angles, plus plenty of on-board and in-car footage, bring you all the vital action, controversy and shocking smashes from another dramatic season. The bizarre head-on crash which forced Loeb out of the inaugural Jordan rally, Gigi Galli's leg-breaking smash, the demanding frozen stages of Rally GB, the exceptional consistency of Hirvonen on snow, gravel, tarmac, ice and mud - every essential moment is here.

This was also the year the WRC bid a fond farewell to an icon - the Subaru Impreza saloon which had been a popular fixture for 15 years. At the Acropolis Rally the familiar Impreza was replaced by the new-look hatchback version, and we join team boss David Richards and drivers Chris Atkinson and Petter Solberg for a close-up look at the new challenger, as well as a look back at its predecessor.

"The World Rally Championship might not have featured the closest finish in the world last season, but this DVD demonstrates why it remains a great sport. Check out any of the Jari-Matti Latvala in-car, particularly the monster moment mid-way through a snowy left-hander that could have cost him his maiden WRC win in Sweden. And then there's Finland, for the biggest battle of the year. As engaging as the Loeb-Hirvonen scrap is, you'll simply never tire of watching these cars flying for mile after mile. And the highlight of that highlight is undoubtedly Toni Gardemeister escaping from the biggest of moments in fourth gear - you won't stop rewatching that one for a long time. Given that Gardemeister and Suzuki (and Subaru, of course) are now part of WRC past, it's worth buying this film as a record of the SX4 WRC's sole season at the highest level. As you'd expect, the North One footage is exceptional and comes from all angles - with wicked amateur footage neatly stitched in" Autosport
